Football Expert Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak was ended by Sunderland before the global hiatus, but can the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

The singer's new record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their weekend soccer side," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Saturday, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is now more potent with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be fairly close, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they appear strong again.

West Ham's sole away win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their past four games.

My son told me to select Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

They have got plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the close of October.

But I am not do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a bad run... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
