LA Explodes in Celebration as Los Angeles Dodgers Claim Second World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed citywide festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Los Angeles area celebrations included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Los Angeles residents flooding city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.

The World Series acted as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, supporters this year showed as much if not more support.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
