Fresh particulars have surfaced concerning the shocking passing of acclaimed director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their Los Angeles home residence on Sunday.

According to a report citing a confidential source, a therapist arriving for an session initially became concerned after not being able to enter the residence. The therapist then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives in the vicinity.

Upon entering the residence, Romy found her father's body. It is said she then left the home distraught, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had gone with her contacted 911. Afterward, emergency responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, including the alleged use of a deadly weapon, said to be a knife. He is now being held without bail.

Nick Reiner was apprehended at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, roughly 15 miles from the scene. He was set to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, said his client had a medical issue and would not appear until no sooner than Wednesday.
