Renowned Actor The actor Pat Finn, Known For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
American entertainer Finn, who featured in iconic television series such as Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.
The comedic improv actor passed away at his residence in LA recently following treatment for cancer beginning in 2022, as reported by news outlets.
"Pat considered no one a stranger - only friends he didn't know yet," his family shared in a message.
They noted that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive Television Career
His debut TV appearance was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the brother of the main character.
He was also seen in a regular part on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He starred as a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, playing a host who would assign unpleasant chores to his guests.
In the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he had guest spots on several well-known programs, like:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.
His film credits encompass It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
Beyond the Screen
Beyond his acting parts, Finn was an improv performer and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe known as Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn coached, befriended and mentored countless students throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find a person anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his relatives stated.
Paying homage, peer actor Richard Kind noted there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Always positive, making those around him better and funnier. An excellent dad and person," he posted online.
Pat Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, three children, and his family.
