The goalkeeper Was rarely tested to perform in the first half until forced to intervene from an opponent's curled attempt. One well-timed sliding challenge against Qazim Laci demonstrated his anticipation. 6/10

The tall defender Always dangerous from dead balls, as always, perhaps is a replacement to Stones in defense rather than alongside him. A careless distribution in the second half nearly resulted in the first goal from the visitors. Six

Nico O’Reilly One more assured performance from the 20-year-old following his debut versus another side. Saka was unable to take full advantage of a gorgeous flick over the opposing backline. His position is firmly his at this stage. 7

The newcomer His maiden beginning in an England shirt. Somewhat loose on the ball though his whipped set-pieces posed a danger. A handy tempo-setter available to the manager to have against sides that sit back. Shown a yellow for a rash challenge. 6/10

The midfielder Deliveries on corner kicks and set-plays created chances. Was given freedom to roam down the left flank yet found himself in an offside position upon receiving in shooting positions. Granted a merited break on the hour mark. Six

The star midfielder Played in a high position down the right and also did plenty of dirty work. Showed moments of class and dragged an attempt high. Withdrawn in the closing stages by Rogers, his rival, following a yellow card. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s clearest opportunity before halftime, his strike excellently kept out from the opposing goalkeeper. With Quansah hanging back, he was forced to stretch the play out wide but his crosses from the touchline were hit and miss. Replaced with 15 to go. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker netting two more strikes for his country. His first a classic opportunist's goal and his next an excellent header after peeling away away from the opposition. Now 32, he’s only getting better and the side have every chance in the upcoming tournament with him up top. 8

Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact on the left flank. Had a presentable chance following a pass by Bellingham but the keeper denied him. Rashford produced a bigger effect in his place. Five

• Foden (replacing Rice 63) Was bright and combined well with the striker in a natural spot, Six
• Saka (on for the winger at the 63-minute mark) Failed to convert but his corner created the first goal, Six
