The Streaming Giant Chooses Spot-On Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Season 3

Baroque Works is geared up to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the real showdown won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, popular member has just been cast.

The platform declared recently that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Bentham. The role can use their power to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that role re-envisioned as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, as in the source material and anime.

Escola is joined by multiple recently announced actors who will portray Baroque Works to life, such as chief the main antagonist, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the ensemble as the ruler of the desert kingdom.

Even though the role is a key figure of the organization, the character will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Given season 2 likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this signals a significant shift in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal additional alterations to the narrative framework.

Their mix of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the role. Besides their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.

The platform’s adapted One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
